  Even though she pulled over right when the engine temp got near the red  
  line,  
  she told me it stalled right before she put it in park.  
    
  I was worried that either the engine or transmission (or both) were toast.  
  Even the shop that worked on it couldn't guarantee the engine or  
  transmission  
  until they fixed the hose and replaced the radiator.  I just crossed my  
  fingers.  
    
  After a flush of both systems, everything is still working great.  
  Actually, I  
  think the truck coasts better and shifts smoother now.  It has all new  
  antifreeze and transmission fluid.
