Unless you live in California. On Nov 3 there will be new negative ads,  
  reminding us that those we just elected are awful, terrible people who  
  like to forget that whatever...  
    
  Least that's (really, it did) what happened last election. It was very  
  disappointing. Just when I thought it was safe to turn the TV back on.  
    
  Then there are the 3-14 days of the pundits analyzing the election  
  results, including how giving the Marsies the right to vote has really  
  screwed things up.  
    
  I've voted already. Now I feel even better when I hang up on Martin  
  Sheen, Leonardo Dicaprio, and whoever else's voice has called.  
    
  At work, there were 8 messages left on our answering machine on Sunday  
  (we're closed. I work at a vet hospital). They were all political.
