  Is this only tested on Windows? IIRC, Windows command prompts are still  
  CP437 by default (so I would assume it would work there), whereas Linux  
  consoles are normally UTF-8 these days.  
    
  I notice it hasn't been merged into the main branch yet, so it's possible  
  the people that do this may have to look into that first.
