  Im looking to buy my first handgun; 9MM.  Looking at Glocks, and tossed  
  between the smaller G45-48's versus the G17-19's ...  Any advantages or  
  disadvantages?  Or recommendations that may be a better alternative for my  
  first handgun?   It's for protection, conceal and carry .. I'm more of a  
  rifle owner, so this is a bit new to me.  But prior to going shopping, I'd  
  like a narrowed down list and local dealer that carries such models and  
  brands.
