So I know nothing can replace acoustic drums, especially for jazz but in an  
  apartment my only option to practice is a mid range Yamaha e-kit. I wanted  
  to  
  audition at the University of North Florida's flagship jazz program under  
  the  
  great Danny Gottlieb. My main concern would be practicing using brushes. Is  
  this possible? Is it possible to at all prepare for an audition on an e-kit?
