I just thought that I would add this file, 'cuz I said that
there would be a surprise. Seriouslym thoughn this file has a purpose.

I decided to start this thing off because of the lack of good information out
there. I know there are files on just about everything. I will start with
the "You-Can-Build-It" files. These files are in ASCII format, and the
diagrams are unclear. I am not ragging on the authors, some of those files
were written by some very cool people... There is only so much you can do
with ASCII. Nowadays, everyone has a GIF viewer (yeah, all you porn pirates)
and I decided to take advantage of it. The GIFs are produced in AutoCAD r12,
the Renderings are done with AutoShade v2.1 and the Solid Modeling is done
with the Advanced Modeling Extension for AutoCAD. Some pretty versatile
software, and since I have been working with CAD for 5+ years, I have gotten
pretty good at it. In future issues, there will be another GIF with a 3-D
model of the completed circuit on a PCB. This will serve two purposes:

                A) You will learn how to lay a circuit out.
                B) There will be tutorials on how to etch PCB's
so you will know where to put the resist tape.

This stuff is not really that hard, you just have to know the basics. No one
hacked a UNIX before popping a PS/2 in the school library, well, some did,
but it's rare... Anyway, back to the premise... The files are not clear, and
you can't really be certain that they will work once built, so we will fork
out the dough, build the things, test them... And if they work, we'll release
an issue on it. What you will read, you can be *absolutely* sure that it will
work when built. If you follow the directions, you'll have a new toy in no
time. I have also considered doing a ChemToys series, doing the same thing,
but having explosives and the like as a focus. I, for one, do not want a
ten-year old kid making Nitroglycerine in his kitchen and blasting himself
and his neighborhood into orbit. My uncle is an accomplished chemist at
DuPont, and he will help me out, I'm sure. He's a little old, but he knows
his shit. So, if I get requests for a ChemToys series, I'll put it out. I'll
need a new crew for ChemToys, and I haven't even finalised the PhreakToys
crew yet. So apply!!! It's gonna be a riot!

Until I get off my ass again:

                        SEE YA!
