   The key question, which your query fellow has to answer, is whether the GCC   
   shows up on his computer as a printer, meaning he goes to his printer folder,   
   and sees it listed; or he clicks Print... in some program and the GCC is listed   
   as one of the printers he can select. If so, then you should certainly start by   
   just printing to it - there is a good chance the drivers will take care of most   
   of the details. The large format Plotter they use at work, for instance, works   
   this way - pick it as your printer, select a paper size, and off you go.
