|    Activex and the Microsoft Web Browser Co    |

From: nospam@nospam.com              Hello,              I tried the activex web browser control, shell.explorer.2, and I get an       error when going to websites that use flash 10. The error was a GPF and       there is no other information returned.              I downloaded and installed Visual Basic Express 2008 and built the same web       browser using the activex, Microsoft Web Browser control (not the .net       control), and when I run that window, there are no errors at all.              What are the differences between VB and other languages that would account       for the same activex control working in VB but not other languages for pages       that have flash 10?              I'm using 32-bit xp       IE8       All web pages run fine in the browser directly.              The web browser for all languages was very simple, a text box for the URL, a       'Go' button, and the web control. The only activex method used was       'navigate2' for all languages.              Thanks.              --g              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
