|    rdo (msrdc) - problem please help!    |

From: hans.stlund@telia.com              Hi,       I use Win2000, VB6 with patch 6 and MySQL 4.1       My problem is: When I connect an MSRDC-control to a MySQL data base I can't       edit any table field to a value longer than the table fields longest value.              ex: I have the table called "test" with the field "Name" as VarChar(45). The       table data has three records with the values "a", "ab" and "abc". When I try       to change the second record value from "ab" to "ab12" the MSRDC control       truncates this value to "ab1" (since the record with the data value "abc" is       the longest excisting value).              When I connct to an Access 2000 database this is not the case (no       truncation).              I have spent a long time trying to solve this so I would be very greatful       for any help!              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
