   Hi All,   
      
   Many thanks to those who assisted with my previous posting regarding image   
   file manipulation from a scanner - with your help, i have now put together a   
   solid solution to that problem.   
      
   Next though, I would like to explore the possibilities in Optical Mark   
   Recognition (OMR) and Optical Character Recognition (OCR). Obviously, by   
   virtue of the module I put together previously manipulating the files around   
   on a server, I have an opening to call a sub-module which could use OMR or   
   OCR to extract the information from the images.   
      
   My question is, has anyone here ever made use of such OMR / OCR modules and   
   could you point me in the right direction for taking this project forwards?
