   hello all,   
               i am in the middle of writting a messenger program which uses   
   display pictures similer to those of MSN.   
   At the momment the server open the requested file using Open filename as #1   
   for input   
   however using this method you can only do one request at a time.   
   Is there a way to open multiple files in say an array? Or prehaps a way of   
   getting bytes instead of lines with the filesystem object.   
      
   any suggestions would be greatly apreciated.
