|    Filtering local echo?    |
|    03 Aug 05 00:20:43    |
From: WatsonR@IntelligenCIA.com              Using winsock socket control in VB how does one handle the data_arrival to       filter out the difference between real data or just local echo?              When used in a telnet application, some switches send local echo, so what       you type you get back before the actual data.              I can't compare the string that I type to the data returned (to see if it's       an echo) since the arrival sometimes are one character at a time.              Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
