|    Child forms and operation - non-MDI    |

XPost: comp.lang.basic.visual       From: otie_nospam@adelphia.net              I have a project with a main form and a second form with a grid on it.       Neither form is an MDI, thus neither form is a child - they are two       independent forms. The CALCULATE button on the main form opens the       second form and fills the grid with data. What I want to be able to do       is when I hit CALCULATE for the 2nd - 10th times, new forms identical       to the first grid form open each time I hit CALCULATE and each new       form gets filled with its own data. So at the end of 10 CALCULATE       operations, I have 10 forms with grids, all open at the same time. So       these new forms are in effect child forms and they look identical to       the first grid - they just have different data in them.              Can someone point me to where I might look in order to learn how to do       this? Thank you.              I'm guessing I either need to make an MDI form and use the CHILD       property - or can I just open new instances of the current form       without messing with any sort of MDI?              Thank you.                            --                     ---       Otis              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
