Here we go. It's not my fault I'm fat. It's my genes' fault. It's my
peers' fault. It's my parents' fault. It's McDonald's fault. It's the
cable companies' fault for supplying hundreds of channels of 24/7
entertainment. It's the evil conspiracy which forces me to stuff an endless
supply of twinkies into my mouth and sit my fat arse on the couch.

Yep, I suppose to someone who has to grease their doorjams it probably does
seem like a stupid statement. But to those of us who have the good sense to
eat sensibly, exercise regularly, and generally live a healthly lifestyle
it's not stupid at all. I guess it's just a matter of perspective, no?

So you can convince me you have no control over how many twinkies you eat or
how much time you spend on the couch? Oh yes, how igorant I must be not to
see that! How blind I must be to the one real truth in life!

Yes, I really envy you. I wish I had the willpower to just let myself go.
How stupid of me to spend my time preparing meals of legumes, fruits, nuts,
or vegetables when I can just stop by and get that Big Mac meal. How dumb I
must be to waste my time taking a jog, riding a bike, or rollerblading
around the neighborhood when I could sit my arse on the couch and watch
   reruns of Friends.

I didn't say risk, I said choices. All of that fat must be clogging the
arteries of your brain and inhibiting your comprehension. I know it must be
difficult, but try and keep up. Risk involves chance and can be mitigated
or balanced. There is no chance that eating too much high calorie foods and
sitting on your arse all day will not make you fat. The results are
guaranteed. It's cause and effect. Risk has nothing to do with it.

If you want to be fat, more power to you. I could care less really what you
choose to do with your life one way or another. I could also care less if
you've managed to convince yourself that it's not your fault you eat too
much and are sedentary. In fact, I don't even want to try and discourage
you from trying to convince me or anyone else. I find the attempt quite
amusing. By all means continue. I can always use the entertainment.
