You have it backwards, Ragnar. The Hollywood media does not create
the demands for young, shapely, pretty women. The demand exists and
the mainstream media services that demand.

Not all of the media exploits the demand for young, shapely, pretty
woman. There ia aslo a very limited number of media outlets that meet
demands for other female types. For example there are magazines who
showcase extremely fat females with a body of fat rolls. Some of them
service the relatively small number of men with a Oedipus complex who
   had obese mothers.

Then there are the gay publications and movies. They are not in the
business of changing men from straight to gay. They recognize that
there is an exiting demand for magazines about gay people and they
   strive to meet that demand.

As you have alluded, there are people who do not adhere to what is the
norms for most. We have men who pursue ugly fat women. They can be
various reasons why they are so driven.

And then we have the men who are not at all attracted to members of
   the opposite gender .
