Elvis died August 1977 and this was made into a movie in 1980. I remember seeing this movie as a kid with my mom. It became an instant favorite. Unfortunately, I have to pull it up on YouTube to show my husband and kids. But it’s a great movie! What is interesting is this movie was released in 1980 and Diane Lane made Cotton Club (released in 1984) a short four years later.
