   I've been approached for help by congenitally geeky and socially   
   dysfunctional inventors whom I instantly disliked and distrusted. Some   
   of that breed shouldn't be allowed to touch sharp or dangerous   
   objects, especially soldering irons.   
      
   I did build a magic alternator for one of them, exactly according to   
   his plans, and watched him tear his hair out when the prototype   
   undeniably proved his theory wrong.
