   If you REALLY want glitzy.. take two count up timers.. one across the pump   
   motor, and one on the current relay sensing the motor.. if the timers display   
   two different times, then the pump is being called for, but not running   
   for the "number of hours difference between the two timers".   
      
   Then you don't have to sit up watching for the led.. just compare the   
   timers every so often...
