I see your point. I would just try the epson salt method, and see       if your battery is restored. It will at least clean out your old       battery. I don't see how a electric desulfication will work at all. You       are trying to remove build up from a chemical reaction.              After the 3 day trickle charge, drain the battery down, drain the       liquids, then add the recommend amount of battery acid and distilled       water.
