Possible and legal but not sure what is required to make it so. I'm
rumming a US Carburetor Low Pressure conversion on mine, primarily set
up for natural gas with a quick disconnect. I plug it into the same
line that feeds my BarBQ. I also have a propane regulator with 2
whips" on it, and US Carbs dual tank splitter, which I have a female
quick connect on so I can plug it onto my natural gas hose and run on
   Propane.

   No reason you couldn't put a 1/2 inch quick-connect on a (3/4") line
(after the regulator, of course) and plug into that. Keep your hose as
short as possible - 1/2" propane hose isn't cheap!!. I put a ball
valve ac close to the quick-connect as possible and shut off the ball
valve when not in use - kinda belt and suspenders. I also have a
lockable shut-off back where the BarBQ line leaves the regulator.
