   That's a common misconception I've argued about several times with   
   technically educated Brits. We don't understand ring main wiring   
   either, and few of us know in detail how our own infrastructure works.   
      
   I was once stuckee of the task of ensuring compliance of the company's   
   custom industrial test equipment with Canadian CSA and Ontario Hydro   
   and the European NEMKO, SEMKO, VDE and TUV codes.
