From: Impedance@UgotOCD.invalid              $6K??? Where di you get that idea? Try a Rinnai unit. Available for a       dealer, online in Buffalo area for under $1K with vent kit and the       maintenance valves. I can supply his contact info. I have dealt with him a       few times and he is excellent and if in Canada he has ways.                     Do you have a phone line to this property, off season? With a few dollars       and two parts you can have a dial-up temp monitor for the place.              -----------       "ghelf" wrote in message       news:7eednaURuoE6tAzTnZ2dnUVZ5gSdnZ2d@giganews.com...              I've seen several web enabled thermostats that I am reviewing but was       wondering if anybody knows if there might be a gas hotwater heater that can       be controlled in the same manner. The house is a vacation home I rent out in       the summer and winter. In the weeks/months when the house is not occuppied       I'd like to set to maintain a minimum temperature. In the winter time I'd       like to keep maximum temperature so maximum number of people can take       showers before the hotwater runs out.       Ideally a tankless hotwater system would do the trick but at $6000 it is too       expensive.       Any ideas?              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
