   Hello, and thanks for the reply.  I was focused on what pole-mounted   
   devices might be used for MV-to-MV voltage boosting and not involving   
   any LV interconnections.  A 3-phase (delta) autotransformer (would have   
   a total of six MV terminals) would seem appropriate (think of an   
   equilateral trangle with another inscribed equilateral triangle as   
   representative of the MV-MV connection.)  I just haven't come across any   
   MV distribution hardware online to accomplish this.  Electromechanical   
   MV voltage regulators (with their long tanks) can be used as well.  I   
   did come across a MV voltage regulator that has the footprint of a   
   distribution transformer (Cooper Power Systems model S225-20-1 and   
   available for up to 19.9/34.4 kV MV systems).  IOW, it doesn't look like   
   a traditional long-tank MV voltage regulator at first glance.  Sincerely,
