I was focused on what pole-mounted       devices might be used for MV-to-MV voltage boosting and not involving       any LV interconnections. A 3-phase (delta) autotransformer (would have       a total of six MV terminals) would seem appropriate (think of an       equilateral trangle with another inscribed equilateral triangle as       representative of the MV-MV connection.) I just haven't come across any       MV distribution hardware online to accomplish this. Electromechanical       MV voltage regulators (with their long tanks) can be used as well. I       did come across a MV voltage regulator that has the footprint of a       distribution transformer (Cooper Power Systems model S225-20-1 and       available for up to 19.9/34.4 kV MV systems). IOW, it doesn't look like       a traditional long-tank MV voltage regulator at first glance. Sincerely,                     --       J. B.
