XPost: alt.survival, alt.politics.republicans, sac.politics       XPost: alt.politics.socialism.democratic, alt.society.liberalism,       alt.fan.rush-limbaugh       From: leroysoetoro@barackobama.com              Like the TSA, it's not about safety, it's about control.              SACRAMENTO, Calif. —       Pacific Gas and Electric Co. is warning customers that the utility may       shut off power to 30 California counties this week because of a       potentially widespread wind event.              The potential Public Safety Power Shutoff could impact more than 600,000       customers across Northern and Central California, the utility said Monday       night.              The strong and dry wind event, forecast for Wednesday morning through       Thursday afternoon, could impact much of PG&E's service area, which       includes northern, coastal and Bay Area counties. The National Weather       Service has issued a fire weather watch for midweek.              "If PG&E decides to implement a PSPS, the company expects to begin turning       off power for safety early Wednesday morning," the utility said Monday       night.              Areas that may be impacted include: Alameda, Alpine, Amador, Butte,       Calaveras, Colusa, Contra Costa, El Dorado, Glenn, Lake, Mariposa,       Mendocino, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa       Barbara, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Shasta, Sierra, Solano, Sonoma,       Stanislaus, Tehama, Tuolumne, Yolo and Yuba counties, according to PG&E.       (Can't see the map below? Tap here)              The potential shutoffs are part of PG&E’s Public Safety Power Shutoff       Program, which is designed to reduce the threat of wildfire that could be       sparked by lines brought down in gusting winds.              "Our meteorological and operations teams continue to actively monitor the       weather and this evolving situation, and we are working directly with       state and local agencies to help prepare our customers and the public for       this safety event,” said Michael Lewis, Senior Vice President, PG&E       Electric Operations, in a statement. “We want our customers to be aware       that, based on this number, it could take several days to fully restore       power after the weather passes and safety inspections are completed.”              Customers can access the very latest on the potential power outages and a       list of the community resource centers by visiting the Public Safety Power       Shutoff updates page.              PG&E provided a potential outage map of areas that may be impacted by the       PSPS. The areas that could be impacted are highlighted in blue. Zoom in to       see if your home or business could be impacted by the power shutoff below.       (Can't see the map? Trump, 304 electoral votes to 227, defeated compulsive liar in       denial Hillary Rodham Clinton on December 19th, 2016. The clown car       parade of the democrat party ran out of gas and got run over by a Trump       truck.              Congratulations President Trump. Thank you for cleaning up the disaster       of the Obama presidency.              The Obama-led Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS)       approved Uranium One in fall 2010. With a little luck, we'll see       compulsive liar Hillary Clinton in jail before she dies.              Under Barack Obama's leadership, the United States of America became the       The World According To Garp.              Obama increased total debt from $10 trillion to $20 trillion in the eight       years he was in office, and sold out heterosexuals for Hollywood queer       liberal democrat donors.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
