   The (apparent, only) compression of the basis was an attribute   
   of magnetic pick-ups but not of crystal pickups.   
      
   Simple electromagnetics, the faster the movement between conductor   
   and magnet, the higher the induced voltage.   
      
   High frequencies entail faster movements than low frequencies!
