   RCD snubber circuit design

   Snubber circuits are commonly used in switching converters like flyback etc.   
   There are a variety of types used, one of these is the RCD turn off snubber.   
   This snubber controls the rate of voltage rise at turn off and thus reduces   
   the switch losses. For more detailed analysis and simulation example see the   
   link below.   
   There is also an online design calculator that helps design and validate the   
   RCD  snubber circuit.
