Ayep. A trip through Seattle pretty much ended my relationship with a
little gymnast hottie from Seattle I knew at OSU. One summer I flew
(Horizon...my car was FUBAR) up to Seattle to spend the weekend with her and
she gave me a tour of the city.

At one point I asked her "No offense, but, is this how people drive in
Seattle?" She wasn't offended at all. Didn't even register that I was
concerned, and not complimenting her. Freakin' crazy.

For the life of me, I just can't fathom how somebody can miss the fact that
an object bigger than a friggin' building is coming at them. The
explanation on the news is that there were TWO tracks and trains going in
opposite directions. Must have been my public education and all, but I still
remember learning in the first grade, in GULFPORT, MISSISSIPPI, to look both
ways before crossing streets or the tracks.
