   I mean Starship Troopers.  They did a great job of capturing the tone of the   
   Why We Fight propaganda documentaries, with a futuristic spin, which was   
   very fascinating until "actors" actually attempted to "act." It almost   
   seemed deliberately ridiculous, like the way the troops would run out of the   
   back of the transports and then just stand there and hop around in a gaggle.   
   Would have been a better movie if they'd scrapped the romance and sex   
   schlock.  OTOH, the last Heinlein I read went in the garbage can before the   
   last page because it too became ridiculous.  ("Number of the Beast.")
