   I don't give a rip if he couldn't see the stop sign.  He was on a   
   residential street.  60 MPH through ANY residential intersection is NEVER   
   OK.   
      
   I have NEVER seen a cop do this - they may pull the speed up through the   
   middle of the block, but they drop the speed way down when going through the   
   intersection.  Even more so if they don't have the lights on.

   My heart doesn't go out to this cop.  He got away scott free.  He should be   
   canned.  Nothing will happen now.  I'm sure the family is going to get a few   
   million, either in a out of court settlement, or in a judgment.  But since   
   this occurred in the line of the officer's professional duties, there is no   
   personal liability.  The citizens of Gresham are going to bear the cost of   
   his negligence.
