   You can second guess anybody, but the bottom line is "aware and   
   prepared."  Nature is not a theme park.  You may remember the two women   
   who died in November while walking on the beach during a storm, or the   
   two OSU students who died a couple weeks ago when their car skidded into   
   the North Umpqua River in the Cascades.  Fear is sometimes a survival   
   trait.
