   Years ago, there was an interesting (but chilling) article in the   
   Saturday Evening Post about a couple whose light plane went down in   
   the Siskiyous (or was it in Northern CA--can't remember, this was back   
   in the 60s). They had supplies, but they were older and not in very   
   good condition. If I recall correctly, from the diaries they kept,   
   they survived for several weeks in the wreckage. But they weren't   
   found until after the snow melted.
