   Agreed. I'm coming late to this thread, but I can sure see the   
   sequence of events spiralling out of control for people who aren't   
   familiar with this sort of road or this sort of terrain (and I'm   
   familiar with this road from the Galice/Agness side).   
      
   Poor choices out of ignorance of the conditions. Sad, but real. I'll   
   add another road to the list, just up here on Hood--Lolo Pass.

   Yep. This incident reminded me that it's prolly a dang good idea to   
   make sure there's a couple of lighters--or, at least, some waterproof   
   matches--in my Subie for winter.
