assumable assumption by a person doing some
assuming. pretentiousness on my part, OK, my bad...

because they were addressing southerners with their complain.

Ann, it is a well know fact of how a good number of the people
of the north look down upon the people of the south as being
   unsophisticated, benighted, empty-headed, illiterate, know-nothing,
uneducated, toothless inbreeds, displaying an uncouthness second to
none. examples abound in our country concerning this stigma the
south has brought upon itself. many times over I've witnessed the
berates showered upon southerners by the relocated northerners as a
result of their displeasure related to a certain event. it is these
circumstances and past experiences that condition southern people to
react with a stereotypical assumption towards those from the north who
express a dissatisfaction with any incident or occurrence that has not
   met with the northerners expectations.

Ann, I was not implying there are not situations in life
where the misery of a continued existence might seem to
   be worse than death.

what I was saying is, death for a person who has rejected
the gift of salvation is a horrible event.

Ann, have you ever overheard a northerner poking fun at the
south by making reference to the south as 'the Bible Belt'?

btw - Ann, if we are to continue this cross posting I suggest
one of us say something nice about Oregon while the other goes
and hugs a tree. oh, and if you get the tree hugging assignment,
don't hug a pine tree, you could get something sticky on you.
