Stop stupidity, quit campaigning against flouridation.
Obviously kids that eat more fruits and veggies will have healthier
teeth. It is because they aren't eating as much candy and sugar.
That does not mean flouridation doesen't work.
I can tell you that with our kids, we don't feed them applie juice,
or candy, not to say they don't eat it when they can (grandma house,
etc.) But we give each of them flouride tablets along with their
vitamins, every day. Neither of them have had any cavities. One
is 8 years old the other is 4. And neither of them have brown spotted
teeth like your so-called flouride overdose nonsense claims, yet they
are getting far higher doses of it than flouridated water would give them.
I should also point out that we don't take them to the dentist for
regular checkups either - what is the point when they never have
cavities? They go on occassion, just not regularly. They will be
going regularly soon enough when they get into orthodontics.
When I was 11 years old, my family moved from PA to OR. PA
has flouridated water. Up until then I had never had a cavity. By
14 years old I had at least 1 filling. And my parents were religious
about regular dental checkups, with the dentist-supplied flouridation
gell crap that they put in the plastic thing that they soak your teeth
in at the dentists office.
One of the biggest scams in dentistry is the
flouridation, espically when done to children. Flouridation done in the
dentists office for 10 minutes is useless, tooth
enamel is hard stuff and soaking it in flouride gel for 10 minutes isn't
going to put any significant flouride in it. You need to take it regularly,
and putting it in the water supply is an excellent way to do it.
