   And it is their job after all.   
      
   I based my remark on only one incident, but it comes to mind whenever   
   I deal with inspectors.   
      
   I lived in Silver Spring Maryland back in the mid '70s and had a 220V   
   line installed for a clothes drier. The electrician did the right   
   thing with permits and an inspection was scheduled.   
      
   I came home from work and found the inspection "results" taped to the   
   basement door.   
      
   The only other times I've had inspections done when nobody was home   
   was on outdoor work, so I assume the work was actually done.
