   Well, JSC at Houston is sorta someplace west - at least west of the   
   mississippi.   
      
   But that's about as far west as a retired shuttle's likely to go.   
      
   There are simply no government museums of sufficient stature and   
   accessability on the left coast.  Lowery AFB (Colorado) has a smallish   
   museum but that would seem to lack sufficient stature.   
      
   It's collection and facilities, at present, are pretty basic.
