   Was anyone else caught offguard by the move of the main Hillsboro   
   Library from Tanasborne to a desolate industrial park many miles from   
   the former location?  How many Tanasborne residents were informed that   
   this was coming?   
      
   I admit, the new building is beautiful and the library staff must   
   enjoying the views in their new industrial campus-like setting near   
   the Hillsboro Airport.  There are ponds, ducks, geese and fountains   
   surrounding the property.  This effectively leaves the busy Tanasborne   
   Area without a convenient library.  The distant alternatives are Cedar   
   Mill or downtown Beaverton.   
      
   While I'll admit that the old Hillsboro Tanasborne Library was located   
   in a less-than-ideal location (it was in the middle of a busy shopping   
   center).  Instead of getting a replacement library in a convenient   
   location, Tanasborne residents apparently got the shaft from some   
   people hell bent on building an empire in the middle of nowhere.   
      
   A concerned Washington County resident.
