He has a right to try and buy a team. The people       involved with selling that team - and in the NFL you have to have the       approval of the majority of owners - cannot sell it to you if they choose.              And that's what happened here - the commissioner, the players and the owners       clearly wanted nothing to do with Limbaugh. My guess is Checkett's got word       that if Limbaugh was part of the deal, there were enough owners to kill it.              I guess that's what happens when you suggest that their product is like       watching the Crips and the Bloods without the guns.              This is a guy who agreed with disparaging comments directed at the President       of the United States from the Taliban. You know, the guys who gave haven to       the people who murdered 3,000 Americans?              This is a guy who celebrated the United States losing out on a bid to host       the Olympics and tried to turn winning an award into a bad thing. This a guy       who "orchestrated" Operation Chaos to disrupt the Democratic Party's primary       process.              The Teabaggers are people who showed up to scream at town halls with no       regard for the people who had showed up to listen and also speak out but       couldn't because of the histrionics.              And now the whole EIB gang is going to play the victim, roll out one       gigantic Pity Party for themselves and their suffering at the hands of the       big, bad bleeding heart liberals.              Finally, if I may point out, the reason folks on the right claim to not use       "vulgar sexual terms" is because they are good, religious people who don't       do such things and don't need to justify doing such things by saying, "But       they do it, too."              Isn't it supposed to be wrong whether the other guy does it or not?              What conservatives do not realize is that they are slowly destroying       themselves. A movement that up until very recently supported cutting       entitlement spending, is opposed to cutting $500 billion from such       entitlement spending. You have goofy governors running around all Spring       criticizing the ARRA and now? Jindal can't have enough photos taking handing       out stimulus checks. After Perry rejected funds for unemployment and       realized later he needed it, he went crawling to the federal government for       a loan. And nearly all of them saw Republican legislatures either overturn       or at least threaten to overturn their vetoes. Propping yourselves up as the       "true" Americans, you now openly cheer when your country loses the Olympics       and nod along in agreement with Mid-Eastern dictators and thugs as they       trash the President of the United States.              What have the teabaggers accomplished?              The President's approval is where you'd expect - about what he won with a       year ago. Democrats, on average, lead the generic Congressional ballot by       about the same margin they did a year ago. The President and the Democrats       are not only liked more than the Republicans but trusted to lead on the       issues more than the Republicans. And despite all the ranting about the       public option, it still enjoys about 2/3 support from the American people.              The conservative strategy is the same Palinesque drivel that consumed and       doomed McCain's campaign entirely (though to be honest, the emergence of the       loonies shouting "terrorist" and "socialist" were the death throes). Why       conservatives think this nonsense will work now is a mystery.              Then again, with deference to them and their apparent ignorance regarding       the definition of insanity, perhaps it is safe to conclude, "Case closed."              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
