|    Renovation 2011 Roomies    |
|    14 Mar 10 18:44:11    |
XPost: rec.arts.sf.fandom, or.general       From: ask.me@followup.news              I'm looking for roomies to share travel and room expenses for Worldcon       69 in Reno.              Travelling from Roseburg, Oregon on August 15 or 16, 2011. If we leave       on the 15th we could do a little touristy stuff around Lassen.              I figure round trip gas will be about $100, a room in the Peppercorn       hotel will be $600. Single through quad occupancy is the same price.       That would split $700 in expenses between 2 to 4 people. A room is the       big expense, so I would be willing to meet up at the con and handle the       gas on my own. You take care of your own membership and meals.              A quad would be kind of busy, but who sleeps at a con anyway? The more       the cheaper. I would like to share driving. It's almost 8 hours on the       road from my house, 10 if you count pit stops, and that's starting in       Southern Oregon. It would be 3 hours longer from Portland. That's a       long day. I have a reliable vehicle with good AC.              Personal: 63 years old, male, non-smoker, no drugs, moderate drinker,       lifelong SF fan, experienced con member, costume, filker. I snore when       I sleep on my back, not when I sleep on my side. I bathe daily and do       not patronize hookers. I am very married, so if you are of the female       persuasion or gay, don't get any ideas. That's about all you need to       know for 5 days.              Young adult friendly, but I may ask you to move the party elsewhere       after midnight. Couples OK. In fact my wife might want to go. She's       still thinking about it.              If this sounds interesting, send email to larry3 (usual email signifier)       frontiernet.net.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
