The US presidential elections have followed a Byzantine
and possibly corrupt system for 200 years and after most
presidential elections when the result doesn't go the way a group
wanted it, they moan about the popular vote, third party
candidates muddying the waters etc. But did ol' Cheeto Head get
he electoral college votes? Alas yes, but had it really been a
popular vote, getting a slim margin would then erupt into screams
   for a recount.

Facebook is where stupid people hang out if they weren't
on facebook, they would be watching Roger Ailes propaganda
machine Fox News. Consider for a moment that Mr. Ailes got Nixon
elected by inventing that device that is a Clinton favourite. The
Town Hall meeting with pre-scripted questions with rehearsed
   answers.

As for the FBI, they have been moving politics since the
   early days of Hoover.

I am no fan of the electoral college, or the two party
system. But, that seems to be the way those in power like it. You
know if they didn't they would change it.

When was there a normal presidential election?

The electorate are not part of the political process,
they are merely the chorus. Big business is the major part of the
   political process.
