XPost: alt.bible, alt.religion.christian       From: usenet@christrose.news              Scripture speaks with a clear and unwavering voice. The Word does not       bend to your claims. It corrects them. It exposes them. And it replaces       them with truth that glorifies the Father through the Son whom He sent       (John 5:23; 2 Corinthians 4:1–6).              You deny the full deity of Christ, yet the Scriptures you appeal to       refute you at every turn.              John 1:1 in the ESV reads, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word       was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1, ESV). The text uses the       Greek theos without an article, not to demote the Word, but to emphasize       His divine nature. The Word possesses everything true of God Himself.       John then declares that the Word created all things (John 1:3, ESV).       Only God creates.              You cite 1 Corinthians 11:3 as if order implies inequality in nature. It       does not. Christ submits to the Father in His mediatorial role, having       taken on flesh for our salvation (Philippians 2:6–8, ESV). Yet in His       very nature, He remains “in the form of God” (Philippians 2:6, ESV).              You claim Jesus is “a god.” Scripture rejects that. God declares,       “Before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me” (Isaiah       43:10, ESV). Jehovah does not tolerate other gods. He does not create       lesser gods. Yet the Word is God. Your teaching forces a contradiction       into the text that the text itself refuses to bear.              You claim to believe “all the Bible,” but you deny the very truths       Scripture reveals about Christ. You deny the eternal judgment that Jesus       Himself preached. He warned of “the unquenchable fire” (Mark 9:43       [Gehenna], ESV). He taught that the punishment endures with conscious       reality because “their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched”       (Mark 9:48 [Gehenna], ESV). He declared a judgment where degrees of       suffering differ. It will be “more tolerable on the day of judgment for       Sodom” than for Capernaum (Matthew 11:24, ESV). Non-existence cannot       vary in severity.              He said of Judas, “It would have been better for that man if he had not       been born” (Mark 14:21, ESV). Non-existence and never existing are       identical states. They cannot be compared unless real, conscious       judgment awaits.              You appeal to Isaiah 43:10 to claim yourself as a witness. The problem       is that the One you reject is the very Jehovah who spoke those words.       John identifies Him when Isaiah “saw His glory and spoke of Him” (John       12:41, ESV). Isaiah saw Jehovah. John says Isaiah saw Christ.              A witness who denies the identity of the One he witnesses about is no       witness at all.              The gospel calls every man to respond to the real Christ. The Christ who       is God in the flesh. The Christ who died for our sins and rose again       according to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:1–4, ESV). The Christ who       alone gives eternal life, who alone saves from the wrath to come, and       who alone deserves worship.              Your claims collapse under the weight of the Scriptures you quote.              Return to the Word. Let it correct you. Let it reveal the glory of Christ.                     --       Have you heard the good news Christ died for our sins (†), and God       raised Him from the dead?              That Christ died for our sins shows we're sinners who deserve the death       penalty. That God raised Him from the dead shows Christ's death       satisfied God's righteous demands against our sin (Romans 3:25; 1 John       2:1-2). This means God can now remain just, while forgiving you of your       sins, and saving you from eternal damnation.              On the basis of Christ's death and resurrection for our sins, call on       the name of the Lord to save you: "For 'everyone who calls on the name       of the Lord will be saved'" (Romans 10:13, ESV).              https://christrose.news/salvation              To automatically receive daily Bible teaching updates with colorful       images and website formatting, subscribe to my feed in a client like       Thunderbird:              https://www.christrose.news/feeds/posts/default              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
