XPost: alt.bible, alt.religion.christian       From: .robert@mu.way              Just who is the True Lord? In this Chapter of Luke (7) John the Baptist       wanted to know if Yeshua/Jesus was the one that he was prophesying to come.       So JtB sent out a couple of his followers to see and as the Lord if he was       the One. So Yeshua showed them the mighty works of God so they can see with       their own eyes and report back to JtB.              Luk 7:20 When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent       us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?              Luk 7:21 And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and       plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto manythat were blind he gave sight.              Luk 7:22 Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what       things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the       lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the       gospel is preached.              Luk 7:23 And blessed is he,whosoever shall not be offended in me. Jesus spoke       very Highly of JtB and said there was no prophet greater than him. Only God       would know such a thing. It is a very interesting chapter to read of the       interactions and what Jesus said about him.              ....              Luk 7:27 This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger       before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.              This very truth was also written of in the OT under Malachi 3:1              Mal 3:1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before       me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the       messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith       the LORD of hosts.              There is also more scripture showing who is Lord to come, to be, and to come       again, for those that desire to seek Him for the forgiveness of their sins.              After the death of the body of man, there is no second chances, you all have       heard many times so that there is no excuses left after you have fulfilled       your life on earth. Be NOT Deceived by false teachers.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
