   El-Sisi, Putin talk Gaza ceasefire   
   Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi and Russian President Vladimir Putin   
   pledged to work together to achieve a ceasefire in the war between Israel and   
   Hamas.   
      
   El-Sisi and Putin discussed regional developments in a phone conversation,   
   Egyptian presidential spokesman Ahmed Fahmy said.   
      
   “The two presidents agreed to continue to act, in earnest, to reach a   
   ceasefire, stressing the imperative need for the international community to   
   assume its responsibilities in this regard,” he said in a statement.
