   He knew gas prices were an issue with the voter, the gas lines, the interest   
   rates being too high to borrow to finance a house and thusly a period of time   
   well into the 80s with economic issues, and the american people standard of   
   living not being what    
   it would have been otherwise.   
      
   Let me clue him in how others saw it.   
      
   The 73 war with the oil embargo and the closing for many years the suez canal   
   was a massive disruption, and people started to buy cheap foreign cars for   
   fuel efficiency sucking money out of our economy and sending it elsewhere   
   money that otherwise would have stayed here and continued to circulate.   
      
   So why are their gas lines, high gas prices, a lower standard of living and   
   high interest rates?   
      
   Your policy towards israel.
