1093135d       XPost: sci.med, sci.med.nutrition, sci.life-extension              The polio vaccine program is one of the success stories of recent times.              There are now just 3 countries where any active infections are being       reported.              Until this year india was also on that list. It was long considered a       hotspot for infections.              It has now been declared polio free due to its aggressive vaccine program       in recent yyears..              It was only a few decades ago that polio infections were widely reported in       almost all countries. The difference is the introduction of effectivd       vaccines in the '50's. Instantly the level of infections began to drop and       untold numbers of hundreds of thousands of children were spared.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
