The several studies using similar methods in humans have all       been failures to date.              Btw, the method involved the "gut flora" and the incretin effect. But only       rodents son, only rodents.              Beta cell mass in rodents is very plastic and cell replication is quick,       not so in humans where beta cell replacement is very very sloooow. In a       type 1 these as were the original cells are soon destroyed. That has been       the fate most often with beta cell transplant studies also.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
