   It has no effect on catching the cold virus at all.  That is entirely a   
   matter of chance exposure to a cold virus.  What happens thereafter when   
   the virus starts to replicate is another matter.  The recent thread put   
   grave doubt on vit. d as preventing the spreading virus and the attending   
   symptoms of infection otherwise known as a cold.
