Europe does NOT do that; it limits medical care by law. I have read
that Obamacare would refuse cancer treatments to anyone over 75. I
will be 87 this month, and I am still doing well mentally.

Many Europeans come to the US for specialized treatment, as do the
"upper classes" over the globe. And Americans go to foreign countries
for treatments which are prohibited here, or because hospital charges
are so high, again because of laws. We need MORE freedom, not more
government. The market will cause improvements; take the market away,
and who will be able to do the expensive medical research? Europe and
Israel are doing some, but most is now done in the US.

It is not money, it is resources. We do not have enough doctors,
nurses, etc., and many of them are not very competent. Obamacare
would pay all doctors in the same specialty the same; it is not
exactly clear what that means. It would be foolish to pay a master
mechanic the same as one who can only do lubes and oil changes; I
have also "fired" doctors who would not discuss, but only tell me
what to do. I suspect that most doctors, when prescribing a drug,
tell their patients little about the problems; I have educated a
former doctor, a good one who had to retire for health reasons,
about restrictions on interactions with other medications, not
stated in the samples hw handed me. This is much the rule, not
   the exception.

Notice that Obama has refused to remove the increased benefits for
lawmakers, their staffs, politicians, and certain unspecified
do-gooders. You can imagine where this is going.
