   Facts are facts.   
      
   Megyn Kelly did a little “straight news anchor” sneering and   
   jeering about Senator Harry Reid’s eye injury. Fox host Greg   
   Gutfeld was on hand to help with the personal attacks.   
      
   Kelly was still on her high horse last night over Reid’s 2012   
   comment about Mitt Romney’s taxes (and still forgetting the   
   string of equally reckless falsehoods promoted by her and Fox   
   News).   
      
   KELLY: Let’s talk about Harry Reid (her voice dripped with   
   disdain) who, of course, told the nation that Mitt Romney never   
   paid taxes for 10 years and Mitt Romney lost – maybe not   
   directly attributable but couldn’t have helped – and in yet   
   another interview, he doubles down. Watch.   
      
   She played a brief clip of Reid talking to Jorge Ramos on Fusion   
   (a fuller clip is below).   
      
   Guest Gutfeld used that to start smearing Reid’s eye injury. In   
   his Fusion interview, Reid said he has lost sight in one eye.   
   But that seemed to be one big joke to Kelly and Gutfeld.   
      
   GUTFELD: You can speculate about Mitt’s taxes and be wrong, you   
   can speculate about how he got injured, Harry Reid got injured.   
   He said he was injured exercising.   
      
   KELLY: Who goes blind on a treadmill?   
      
   GUTFELD:  I don’t know. I mean, well, unless you work out   
   really, really hard. But you’re just raising questions, like he   
   did! You can raise any question as long as you’re a jerk. His   
   medical condition isn’t his eye. It’s that he’s a jerk and it’s   
   incurable.   
      
   Had Kelly or Gutfeld bothered to watch Reid’s interview, they   
   would know how his accident happened, how serious it was and how   
   lucky he is not to have been killed. Or maybe those details just   
   made it all the merrier for these two.   
      
   Kelly did not challenge Gutfeld’s smear. She did kinda, sorta   
   moderate it by adding, “You know what they say? In the land of   
   the blind, the one-eyed man is king." Then she said   
   sarcastically, “It’s a terrible time for him to retire,” and   
   laughed at her own joke.   
      
   Gutfeld went along with the joke. “No, it is, it is,” he agreed.   
   He continued, “I think he could voice a cartoon for Ghost Cat.   
   He has a really cool voice.”   
      
   Kelly said she was not familiar with Ghost Cat but that she   
   thought the glasses made Reid look “a little cooler.” Then she   
   gratuitously added, “But as big a jerk as ever.”
