XPost: alt.politics.usa.congress, alt.politics.republicans, talk.politics.guns       XPost: sac.politics, alt.fan.rush-limbaugh       From: nospam@ix.netcom.com              Washington, D.C. — Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Ron Wyden, D-       Ore., today issued the following statement after the Congressional Budget       Office (CBO) delivered a preliminary analysis of the new Senate text of       the Republican reconciliation bill showing the legislation will cut       Medicaid by $930 billion, even deeper Medicaid cuts than passed by the       House. That does not include additional cuts to other parts of the U.S.       health care system, namely Medicare and the Affordable Care Act, included       in the legislation.              “While Republican senators are securing baubles and trinkets for their       political donors, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office has       confirmed that the Senate bill will cut $930 billion from Medicaid,” Wyden       said. “Just as before, these cruel cuts to Americans’ health care will       strike a mortal blow to rural health care, and threaten the health and       safety of kids, seniors, Americans with disabilities, and working families       across the country. Life and death decisions of this magnitude should not       be subjected to this rushed and reckless process. I urge Republican       senators not to travel down this dangerous path: there is no band-aid that       can heal these dangerous, deadly cuts.”              Note, the CBO is 70+% Democrat staffed. No agenda there.              https://www.finance.senate.gov/ranking-members-news/wyden-statement-on-       new-cbo-numbers-showing-more-than-930-billion-in-medicaid-cuts-in-new-       senate-draft              --- SoupGate-DOS v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
